Mitch Evers

Guitar

Born and raised in small town Indiana, Mitch’s musical journey started at around 6 years old lip-syncing to his parents Elvis Presley and Beach Boys records at family gatherings.  A role in Oliver twist at 9 years old, piano lessons, drum lessons and show choir led to his first band, Change of Mind in High School at the age of 15.  From there he was hooked.  College saw Mitch enter the Christian Music scene, writing and singing in a band called Another Miracle.

This led to several opening slots for major touring CCM bands like Rick Cua, Geoff Moore and Whiteheart.  After college and a brief tenure in Nashville pitching demos, Mitch ended up in Detroit, Michigan fronting the band Plain Jane, a traditional blues band that transitioned into classic rock and 90’s alternative. “Playing to pay the rent” in standing room only venues on the infamous 8-Mile in Detroit allowed Mitch to expand his musical repertoire and play with some phenomenal Detroit musicians. The journey circled back to Indiana and several bands including 90’s rock band Voodoo, and leading worship in local church’s.

In 2005 Houston, Texas became home. Stints with local cover bands, church bands and acoustic shows led to becoming a member of Tailor Maide in 2024.  With a love for all music, but a passion for country, blues and blues rock, Mitch brings it every night.  Outside of music, Mitch is married with two adult children, an avid reader, a lover of small Texas towns, hiker, sports enthusiast, and an accomplished Tennis player.  See y’all at the next show!!
